Run 4 felt good

After a few days of rest to address that nagging knee pain from my last run, I properly warmed up today and had my easiest run yet.

The weather wasn’t great, with rain, but fortunately, the ground hadn’t flooded this time, making the conditions more favourable. I got to test my new Beat headphones after an unfortunate incident where my AirPods ended up in the washing machine—a devastating loss.

I started with a slow pace, treating the first part of the run as a warm-up. I aimed to maintain lightness on my feet, and if there was even a hint of discomfort, I eased back to a walk. Surprisingly, I found my breathing remarkably easy today, almost like my previous training had finally come back. There was no shortness of breath even in the cold air.

Initially planning just a 1-mile run, I felt comfortable and pain-free, prompting me to extend it to a usual neighborhood run. While I felt I could’ve gone another mile, I’m aiming to attend the park run this week and stick to my planned running days. I’ve recently applied to join the local running club, looking forward to running with others for added company and safety.

I managed to attend my dance fitness class on Tuesday, which I truly enjoyed. However, I’ll be avoiding the high-impact sections of the class from now on to minimise the risk of injury. I don’t want to miss out on this enjoyable activity, but I need to be cautious to prevent any injury that could hinder my training.

  • Run 4 – 2.61 mile | 32 minutes
  • Weather – 10 degrees and raining
  • Overall feel – Good very easy going
